The Stratford Housing Authority (SHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher is closed.

The SHA last accepted applications for this waiting list from February 13, 2023, until February 15, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

There were three ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Print the paper application.
  3. Pick up an application from the SHA office.

Once the paper application was completed, it must be: Postmarked between February 13, 2023 and February 15, 2023; and mailed to the SHA office.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

  • 1 Person $39,450 | 5 Persons $60,850
  • 2 Persons $45,050 | 6 Persons $65,350
  • 3 Persons $50,700 | 7 Person $69,850
  • 4 Persons $56,300 | 8 Persons $74,350

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

400 selected applications were placed on this waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

Closed: Shiloh Garden Apartments Senior/ Disabled Section 8 Project-Based Voucher

The Stratford Housing Authority (SHA) Senior and Disabled Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list for 1-Bedroom apartments at Shiloh Garden Apartments is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from January 11, 2021 until January 13, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were three ways to apply during the opening period: 

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Print the online paper application.
  3. Pick up a paper application from the SHA.

Once the application was completed, it was postmarked no earlier than January 11, 2021 and no later than January 13, 2021, and mailed to Stratford Housing Authority.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

  • 1 Person $35,950
  • 2 Persons $41,050

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

200 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery.

The Stratford Housing Authority (SHA) Public Housing waiting list for 2, 3 and 4-Bedroom apartments at Gregory Circle, Woodend Road and Birch Drive is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from June 28, 2021 until June 30, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were three ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Pick up an application in person from the SHA office.
  3. Pick up an application in the June 27, 2021 edition of the CT Post.

Once the application was completed, it was postmarked no earlier than June 28, 2021 and no later than June 30, 2021 and mailed to the Stratford Housing Authority.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

  • 2 Persons $63,950 | 6 Persons $92,700
  • 3 Persons $71,950 | 7 Persons $99,100
  • 4 Persons $79,900 | 8 Persons $105,500
  • 5 Persons $86,300

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

300 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery. (96 for 2-Bedrooms, 150 for 3-Bedrooms and 54 for 4-Bedrooms).

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Download and print the application online.
  2. Pick up an application at the Raymond Baldwin Apartments Community Building.

Once the application has been completed, it must be dropped off at the Raymond Baldwin Apartments Community Building.

600 applicants were placed on the State and HUD Elderly waiting list by random lottery.

Preferences were not known, but were listed on the application.

Closed: State Moderate Rental Public Housing Program Project-Based

The Stratford Housing Authority (SHA) State Moderate Rental Public Housing Program waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for two days in December, 2018. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to pick up an application at the Raymond Baldwin Apartments Community Building.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must have been dropped off at the Raymond Baldwin Apartments Community Building.

600 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery. If the SHA does not receive 600 applications, it may accept applications on a first come, first-served basis until March 6, 2019, or until 600 applications are received.
