There are five ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Print the application that is available on the Elm City Communities website.
  3. Print the application that is available online. Select the "View Posting" link in the "Housing Authority of the City of New Haven" row. The file name is "291.pdf." Google Chrome users must right-click the link, and select "Save link as..." to download the file.
  4. Call (475) 355-7289 to request an application by mail.
  5. Send a written request to Attention: Waitlist Coordinator, Elm City Communities, PO Box 1912, New Haven, CT 06509.

Once the paper application has been submitted, it must be either:

  1. Hand delivered to drop box outside of the front door of the Elm City Communities office, located at 360 Orange St, New Haven, CT 06511.
  2. Mailed to PO Box 1912, New Haven, CT 06509.
