Closed: Larimer County, Colorado Non-Elderly Disabled Homeless or In Transition Section 8 Voucher

The Housing Catalyst (HC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for Non-Elderly Disabled Homeless or In Transition households is currently closed. It was last open for two weeks in May, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: according to HC, "This opportunity is only for households that meet ALL these requirements:

  • One adult in the household must have a documented disability.
    AND
  • The person with the disability must be between the ages of 18 and 61.
    AND
  • Your household is experiencing homelessness OR is transitioning out of an institutional or other segregated setting and would be homeless upon discharge."

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Pick up an application at the Housing Catalyst office.

Once the paper application was completed, it must have been either:

  1. Mailed to the Housing Catalyst.
  2. Dropped off at the Housing Catalyst office.

There were no preferences.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

Closed: Larimer County, Colorado Section 8 Voucher

The Housing Catalyst (HC) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 9, 2023, until June 12, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application,

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

  • 1 person $39,800 | 5 people $61,350
  • 2 people $45,450
  • 3 people $51,150
  • 4 people $56,800

Preferences have not been confirmed.

800 selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

Housing Catalyst last accepted applications for this waiting list from January 18, 2023, until January 25, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

  • 1 person $37,600 | 5 people $57,950
  • 2 people $42,950 | 6 people $62,250
  • 3 people $48,300 | 
  • 4 people $53,650 | 

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

It was not known how selected applicants were placed on the waiting list.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Households who either reside within Wellington, Colorado, or households with an adult who works at least 20 hours per week in Wellington.

In addition, Housing Catalyst offers other programs for eligible households, including:
