The Housing Authority of the City of Salida (HACS) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for senior/disabled individuals.Please note: The HACS does not offer a public housing program for families.The HACS offers once public housing community with 50 units dedicated to senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:1. Visit the HACS to pick up an application, located at 525 W 16th St., Salida, CO during normal office hours.2. Request an application be mailed to you by calling (719) 539-6243 during normal office hours.Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. No documents are needed at this time.The HACS does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: elderly, disabled, or homeless.For more information, the HACS can be reached by calling (719) 539-6243 during normal office hours.
Applicants who need help completing the application due to disability can make a reasonable accommodation request to the housing authority via (719)539-6243.
