Open: Hillside Senior Apartments, 1-Bedroom, 55+ Senior Section 8 Project-Based Voucher

The Vacaville Housing Authority (VHA) is accepting Senior Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for 1-Bedroom apartments at Hillside Senior Apartments from January 20, 2024 at 8:00 am PT, until further notice.

This waiting list is for the following property:

• Hillside Senior Apartments - located at 454 Markhame Ave., Vacaville, CA 95688.

Please note: "Units are age-restricted to 55+ years."

To apply while the waitlist is open, complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $40,500
• 2 Persons $45,800
• 3 Persons $51,500

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

IMPORTANT: This is not the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program. Section 8 Project-Based Voucher tenants are required to live in a specific apartment community or scattered site. After one year of occupancy, a Project-Based Voucher tenant may request to be placed on a waiting list to receive the next available Housing Choice Voucher or similar tenant-based rental assistance.

Open: Rocky Hill Veterans Housing Project Project-Based

The Vacaville Housing Authority (VHA) waiting list for 3-Bedroom apartments at Rocky Hill Veteran's Housing Project is currently open. Applications are being accepted from September 17, 2018 at 8:30 am PT, until further notice.

Please note: Applications will not be accepted from households that do not include a Veteran. To be eligible to apply, households must meet minimum subsidy standard requirements for a three bedroom voucher, have a maximum of eight household members. Units are expected to be available in December, 2018.

To apply during the opening period, complete the online application. 

A computer is available to complete online applications in the VHA office located at 40 Eldridge Ave. Suite #2, Vacaville, CA 95688, Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, PT.

After applying, the VHA will send a receipt by email with a confirmation number and instructions for checking status online.

Only one application per family will be accepted. Applications that do not include a Veteran, do not meet minimum subsidy requirements, are incomplete, or are duplicate applications, will be rejected.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
