The Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo (HACSM) is accepting Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list applications for Single Room Occupancy apartments at St Matthews Apartments from the earliest confirmed date of February 2, 2024, until the maximum number of applications has been received.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

Open: San Mateo County, California Moving to Work Section 8 Voucher

The Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo (HACSM) Moving-To-Work waiting list is currently open, since at least September, 2018, until further notice.

Please note: The Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo operates the Moving-To-Work program in place of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program. The Moving-To-Work program differs from Section 8 by having a 5-year limit and offering financial and other supportive incentives.

To apply, complete the online application.

This waiting list has the following preferences: Persons who live, work or have been hired to work in San Mateo County.

Applicants will be selected to be scheduled for an eligibility interview by random lottery. The HACSM will send a notice to the mailing address on record. 

The HACSM has stressed that applications will expire after a 12-month inactive period. To stay on the waiting list, applicants must update their information before the expiration date on the Submission Confirmation web page.
