The Richmond Housing Authority (RHA) last accepted Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications from May 8, 2023, until June 7, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to pick up an application from Richmond Village Apartments.

Once the application was completed, it was postmarked and mailed to the Richmond Village Apartments.

Preferences have not been confirmed.

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.

The City of Richmond Housing Authority (RHA) Nevin Plaza Public Housing waiting list is currently closed. Applications for Studio, 1, and 2-Bedroom units were last accepted from August 1, 2019, until August 5, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Richmond, CA is about 20 miles northeast of San Francisco, CA.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online pre-application. Once the pre-application was completed, a confirmation number was issued to certify that the pre-application was received. Applicants must print and retain the confirmation number for their records. RHA states that "no paper applications will be accepted."

The public notices states this waiting list had the following preferences: Richmond residents, veterans, foster child/adults and elderly. However, while in contact with the RHA for further information about these preferences, representatives stated that those preferences were not associated with the waiting list. That information contradicts what is written on the public notice, so this waiting list may, or may not have had preferences.

500 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery.
