Closed: Maricopa County, Arizona Disabled Section 8 Voucher

The Arizona Behavioral Health Corporation (ABHC) Mainstream Housing Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for 12 days in April 2017. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note:

  • The Mainstream Housing Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Program provides rental assistance through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program for disabled households. Applicants of this waiting list are applying for a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher.
  • According to Hom, Inc., "the Mainstream program serves ALL disabled families, regardless of the type of disability. There is no preference provided to families with specific types of disabilities and the program does NOT require that applicants be homeless."
  • Hom, Inc. manages the Mainstream Housing Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Program on behalf of the Arizona Behavioral Health Corporation. 

To apply, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The first 200 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery.
