The Huntsville Housing Authority (HHA) is accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for apartments from the earliest confirmed open date of July, 2017, until further notice.

There are three ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Print the application that is available online. Select the "English or Español" link in the "Public Housing Application" section.
  2. Complete an application at the HHA office, located at 200 Washington Street Huntsville, AL 35801, from 7:00 am until 6:30 pm CT.
  3. Contact the Intake and Admissions staff at 256-539-0774 OR 256-532-5677 to request an application.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

It is not known how applicants are placed on the waiting list.

The Huntsville Housing Authority (HHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from June 1, 2020, until June 7, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences: Living and/or working in Madison County.

2,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
